After blogging for about eight years it is time for a new chapter, something completely new. I have been thinking about this for quite a while now and I want you to know that the idea of quitting afterDRK is not something that just popped into my head yesterday or so. I actually gave this a lot of thought and a lot of time and I would like to use this last message here on afterDRK to share some of those thoughts and some of the why.
After eight years of non-stop sharing – both good and bad – imagery and accompanying words, I started to feel like an assembly line worker within my own company. I caught myself doing things in a way that I knew would work more and more and I slowly lost my sense of real creativity while doing so. Everything got standardized, in my head, but also on afterDRK. That said, I have come to conclusion that doing the same over and over again is not my thing. Now do not get me wrong, I am a huge fan of blogging and social media and I would not have been where I am today without it, but I need to step away from this super fast way of sharing things just for the sake of sharing things, at least for a little while.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for following me and for your support, whether it has been for years, months, days or even for split seconds. I also want to thank everyone who has ever contributed (in any way) and of course everyone who ever worked with me. Thank you.
Now regarding that ‘something completely new’… The good news is that I won’t be disappearing from the internet and I definitely won’t be going anywhere far far away. I am currently working very hard on a super exciting new online platform and while I don’t want to reveal too much just yet, keep an eye out on this site and our Instagram account to be the first to know what’s up. Trust me, it’ll be worth it.
